Richard Del Connor was given the Buddhist Kung Fu name of Zhen Shen-Lang in 1994 after founding Shaolin Chi Mantis Traditional Buddhist Gongfu & Taijiquan in 1992.
Buddha Zhen founded the Tai Chi Youth nonprofit education orgnization in 1996 while promoting two annual AAU Push Hands Tournnaments in Salt Lake City, Utah. As Chairman of the Utah AAU Chinese Martial Arts, Buddha Z was also Editor of the Utah Black Belt Association monthly magazine. This newsletter enabled Master Zhen to befriend martial arts masters of all styles across Utah. Zhen Shifu officiated at Black Belt tests of other martial arts schools and was encouraged to visit, participate, and teach many of these Karate, Tae Kwon Do, and Hapkido masters.
As a ful-time Mr. Mom from 1992 to 2008, Buddha Zhen raised two children while bringing them to all of his Kung Fu and Tai Chi classes. BZ designed Kung Fu and Tai Chi curriculums for his children to attend with their friends and neighbors.
As a teacher for the YMCA, Buddha Z taught many years of senior clases, youth programs, with adult classes in the evenings.

Buddha Zhen is adept at designing workouts for chemo-therapy patients, blind persons, athletes, actors and actresses. Buddha Zhen is trained in the 18 Classical Chinese weapons of ancient China.
Buddha Zhen, also known as The Hippy Coyote of American Zen, was featured in the February 1994 issue of Kung Fu Masters Magazine along with Brandon Lee and Elvis Presley.
Buddha Zhen is residing in North Hollywood and is available for PRIVATE LESSONS at your home.
